At Golden City Physiotherapy, we’re passionate about supporting women through the incredible journey of pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Our physiotherapist Ash has completed further studies in women’s health including level 1 and 2 Women’s Pelvic Health and Level 1 Stages through the lifespan through the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and a Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Exercise and Women’s Health) through Melbourne University.

Our pregnancy and postnatal physiotherapy services are designed to support women through every stage of pregnancy and postpartum to help you feel strong, supported, and confident in your body.

Our Services Include:

Pregnancy CareOur physiotherapists provide guidance to help you stay active and comfortable during pregnancy. We can help manage:

  • Pelvic girdle or lower back pain

  • Abdominal or rib discomfort

  • Pelvic floor preparation for birth

  • Safe exercise throughout pregnancy

Postnatal RecoveryAfter childbirth, your body deserves care and attention. We provide individualised assessments to support:

  • Pelvic floor recovery, and rehabilitation for symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction

  • Abdominal separation (diastasis recti) management

  • C-section or perineal scar healing

  • Pelvic pain

  • Gradual return to exercise and daily activities

Mastitis Prevention & Management

Using evidence-based techniques, we provide early intervention and conservative management to help reduce symptoms and prevent progression of mastitis, including:

  • Therapeutic ultrasound to relieve blocked ducts and inflammation

  • Breast tissue techniques

  • Education on feeding positioning, self-management, and prevention strategies

Return to Exercise & RunningGetting back to the activities you love is possible! We offer individualised return-to-running assessments to ensure your pelvic floor, core, and musculoskeletal system are ready. Our programs progress you gradually, with guidance on strengthening, impact readiness, and load management.
